Hey fellow food fans! I’m glad you stopped by to check out my blog
My name is Christine, I’m twenty-four years old, and I live and work in a wonderful town called New York City. And, as you can probably tell, I’m crazy about all things food!
Growing up in suburbs of Long Island, I spent a lot of time with family and friends traveling into Manhattan and Brooklyn, enjoying all types of food experiences, particularly the Italian kind, staying true to my family’s background. My love for food is rooted in New York, but it’s during college, when I lived on my own, that I began to spread my “culinary wings” and fly through adventures in cooking. Now, living in one of the food epi-centers of the world, my love for food has continued to grow and become an even larger part of my life.

In the past few years, my passion for food, cooking, and all things epicurean skyrocketed as I fulfilled my life-long dream to go to culinary school and enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at the Institute of Culinary Education. Now, as an ICE graduate, my time is filled with working in restaurant kitchens, attending food events, and of course, creating a wide range of delicious, satisfying, and (usually) healthy recipes for this blog. My true passion for food and classical education is helping me on the road to blending my experience in business and marketing with my love for cuisine in the professional world. And while I’m on this journey, Epicurean Bliss will (hopefully) satisfy my appetite for food, writing, and recipe development, and my readers’ appetites for delicious dishes along the way!
Directly related to all things food, I also have a passion for nutrition, health, and finding ways to enjoy the deliciousness of food while also capitalizing on the nourishment and health benefits of different types of ingredients and cuisines. As often as I can, I will try to keep this blog health-conscious and include any relevant nutritional information about the foods I cook or recommend. I consider it a daily challenge to create and enjoy foods that are not only filling and delicious, but are healthy, energizing, and make you feel GREAT about yourself. I see sharing any recipes or experiences of this kind with anyone who reads this blog as a mutually beneficial experience, and hope that any readers will feel inclined to share their healthy food experiences and recipes here, too.
So that’s it – I’ll keep it short and sweet
Any other questions about myself, I’m more than happy to answer via the comment section or via email (CKrupin [at] gmail [dot] com).
Happy Eating!

Christine,
I love your blog! And only because I appreciate it when friends point out any typo they might find on my blog ,(oystersandarugula.wordpress.com) I thought you might want to know about a typo in that fabulous quote from Harriet Van Horne. . . pretty sure that “none” should be “not”.
Happy writing!
Best,
Kristin
Thanks so much for the correction! I got the quote from a friend, and just thought it was supposed to be like that. I appreciate the heads up
Hope you keep reading!
Through the Old Westbury Gardens website, I was able to access your blog wich contained a very detailed report of Taste of Spring 2011.
I was pleased and gratified to see not only my picture in my pink Chef coat( an eye catcher) some of my signature dishes and a very detailed description of your opinion of the food. I was glad to see that you enjoyed it
At events like this where people take a sample of food and then move on, it is difficult to get feedback.I hope everyone’s opinion was as favorable as yours.
I occasionally assemble a food and wine panel to help evaluate other of my signature dishes and also any new ones wich I am planning to add to my catering menu. Those panels are held on friday evening at various venues. I would be please to have you join me and fellow food lovers at one (or more) of those events.
Please contact me if you are interesred or if you have any questionsabout me or my catering operation.
In any case I hope to see you at the taste of spring 2012
Kindest regards
Claude Cassagnol
